Studies Abroad 2002-2003
I spent two semesters abroad studying Arabic and Islamic Sciences at Abu Nour University in Damascas, Syria. Damascas has a rich history. It is the birthplace of Christianity. Abraham, Jesus, Mary, and Muhammad all spent time in Damascas (G-d's peace be upon all messengers of G-d). John the Baptist is buried in Damascas. Paul got the Spirit on the Road to Damascas. It is even said that Cain slew Abel in Damascas. This is just an inkling of the rich history of Damascas.
